Getting tired day two

We had a great local meal last night of a taco, enchilada, rice, beans, and choice of squash soup or chicken rice. The squash soup was good and the chicken needed seasoning. We had a great session about allowing the power of God to work in us and giving God all of ourselves....to be totally converted for the Lord. The meal went well and we got some well needed rest. If Lori is reading this, I have some bad news. I need you to find the receipt to Lexie's camera. Need I say more, yes I dropped it when we were at the restaurant taking a picture of our group. I went to Wal-Mart and bought a new one for her to use so that kind of eased things and made Lexie smile again. Some of us got some minor injuries today with little cuts and abrashions. Most of us got a good night sleep last night, but the sun is out again and it seems to zap you. We are looking forward to some beach time today. We were able to get the rolled roofing on and a load of sheetrock came today also. The group does great at the puppet show and we wish you could see some pictures, but the internet is very slow. Check in tomorrow for some more news. All the girls get up early to go to a hot spring that is on the beach. It is really, really warm. Meagan is so cute because she lays her entire body in the sand. She gets SO muddy, but she is SO warm. The girls are missing their families, but they are enjoying cuddling and playing with the kids in the orphanage here. Please be sure to blog to your girls. They look forward to the messages that you send. Two more days of hard work. Keep praying for us!

Hi Tay! Looks like you'll be getting rid of those white legs pretty soon! :-) Are the women doing your hair like vendors on the beach or are they part of the staff where you are staying? And the cool building in the background...what is that? I forgot request vanilla, too, and am hoping you thought of it for me. Are you taking lots of pics to bring back home...we look forward to seeing them and hearing about your trip. We miss you very much, but are so thankful you have this opportunity to be used by God. Bet you're beat at night...do you still wake up to let the cat out though?

Dad says: Dari Maid had to shut down because they couldn't handle it without ya. Hurry up and get back 'cuz I'm hungry for ice cream and Bobby needs his job back.

Tess says: Hi Tay. It looks cool there and different. Do you like it? Is it really hot? Taylie, you know that manager guy at the Friendship House? Well, now he knows my name! Great. I don't ever want to eat there again. See you when you get back. Love, Tissy

Wylie says: Hi.

Okay, that's it for now. Hope you sleep well. Love to you all...

Hi Rob and Shirley,
We came down to Mexico on Sunday hoping to run into you all at La Bufadora, but we ended up running a bit late after a church plant meeting. Alas, we did not find you but did find some of Mexico that we had not yet explored. We are praying for you all and hope to be able to catch you on your way back state side but understand that there may be mightier things planned.
Much Love,
Laura and Eric

Hi Girls,
This is my 2nd attempt to blog, First one would not send....hope you don't get it twice.

You look like you are enjoying your time there. My prayer for each of you is to stay safe, focused and that this will be a life changing experience.

You can add me to the vanilla list, I will have to reimburse someone because I did not think of it before (no pressure Taylie)

Hey Tayliebird, when you get back it will be JETSKI TIME!!! (will trade time on jetski for your trouble to pick up some vanilla for me, no pressure Taylie!!!)

Love to all,
Cindy and family

Howdy y'all! Meagan - it's Aunt Maureen just checking in with you. Sounds like you guys are having a great time. You know, VBS is a great way to touch the kids hearts - and don't be afraid to see Jesus just like the little ones do - their perspective is so fresh and full of His truth! You've been in my prayers this whole week and will continue to be. Many Blessings, Auntie Mo

Hi Elie, Carmen and all,
Looks like fun getting braided all at the same time.
Sami was putting tiny braids in her hair last night but gave up cause she had to much hair.
I am sure you will get a second wind and do your best. Rolled roofing and sheetrock sounds like a very heavy job.
So good to see you in the picture, sitting in the sand and look at those palm trees.
Make sure you give Shirley a hug.
I miss you alot. and pray all is well. Minor cuts is normal around our house.
Bye for now
Mom

It is so much fun to hear what you are doing and how you are doing.

You are all in our prayers.

Oh, and regarding the food. Did they say it was chicken or did they say it 'tasted like chicken'?

Gotta be careful . :)
